Choosing Your Birth Space & Helpful Questions to Ask

A helpful overview of nearby hospitals and out-of-hospital birth options, including typical policies on doulas and support people, to support you in making a confident and informed decision. You’ll also find thoughtful questions to guide conversations with your hospital and care provider. I gently encourage you to tour your chosen facility or birth center, talk with your care provider, and review your insurance coverage as you prepare for your birth.

Please note that while I may highlight common locations in this area, I am not limited to working at these facilities. I am open to supporting births in a variety of settings based on your preferences and needs.

Wherever your birth takes place, my role remains the same—to be a steady light in your journey. I will support your decisions, advocate for your preferences, and ensure you feel seen, heard, and supported throughout your experience.
